Nordeon-Group changes the rules of the lighting industry

Newcomer in the lighting industry presents itself in the internet.

In good time prior to the beginning of the world’s biggest and leading trade fair for light, the Light & Building in Frankfurt, Nordeon-Group is present in the internet. At, the Group, among other things, presents the business model as well as the companies that belong to the Nordeon-Group in three languages.

Agile and customer-oriented – and with a solid basic structure

The Nordeon-Group consists of mid-sized, agile production and innovation sites. The aim of the Group is to concentrate and utilize the experiences and the abilities of the individual companies in order to offer their customers a maximum benefit and optimal performance.

The lighting industry is undergoing a profound change. The demand for energy-efficiency is increasing at all times and the development of efficient luminaires is taking big steps forward. The Nordeon-Group utilizes the possibilities of a big corporate entity with the advantages of flexible, independently managed, small companies and is perfectly positioned to help drive this change in the lighting industry.

Furthermore, the Group contributes to the protection and preservation of natural resources through the development of energy-efficient LED lighting and thus meets its social responsibility.

Three areas – always strong brands

The Nordeon-Group comprises the areas of outdoor and indoor lighting and (internet) wholesale.

The traditional brands Hess (D) and Vulkan (D) secure an optimal market positioning in the outdoor lighting. Hess is the brand when it comes to offering landscape architects, (lighting) planners, cities and municipalities maximum freedom in designing urban space with design-oriented luminaires and corresponding street and site furnishings. Vulkan is very focused on elegant, however technically functional-oriented luminaires. High energy-efficiency through the application of latest LED technology both have in common.

The former Philips locations in Springe (D), Chalon sur Saône and Dijon (both F) address the indoor lighting market through the Nordeon brand. Having the site in Springe, Nordeon is equipped with one of Europe’s largest manufacturing sites for LED products. In Chalon sur Saône, one is focused on the production of fluorescent lamps. Nordeon combines the development of optical, electrotechnical and mechanical systems with a longstanding experience in the development of luminaires. Inventions such as the continuous row lighting system explicitly demonstrate the know-how and expertise.

Nordeon-Group breaks fresh ground with the internet wholesaler InstallerDirect. The online platform is exclusively directed towards electrical installers and offers brand products of different, renowned and first-class manufacturers to registered installers.
